Default Straight piped F355

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULERWoHHS_A&feature=plcp

Background on it:

Normally the F355 has a y exit from the headers - one goes to the regular cats and muffler, the other goes to smaller cats with a bypass valve that opens up to a less restrictive flow. The bypass valve is only opened under WOT. Ferrari has since moved these valves to inside the mufflers, the valve was probably a one-time experiment and the F355 was the guinea pig. Unfortunately, it wasn't a great idea and the valve would easily fail (costing over $1k to fix), leaving the car with an anemic sound.

This F355 has high-flow cats on it; they flow just as much as a test pipe (according to the manufacturer). After the cats is a straight pipe system with an xpipe along the way - no mufflers. The car has a pretty deep racecar like sound from idle to around 5000rpms, which you don't get to hear in this vid. After 5000rpms it turns into one of the craziest things I've ever heard in person. This video actually doesn't do it justice, but will give you an idea. This is a far cheaper alternative to the $10k Kriessig.

hahaha for some reason I first read this as 'straight piped fx35' as in the Infiniti SUV, I heard that exhaust and was like OMG WTF and then I reread the title and it all made sense

such a nice exhaust. I really considered getting one. Then the research turned up the potential cost as an owner. Probably not worth the $$ headache.

Sweet merciful lord. Hate how it looks, but the video is at night so the sound is all that counts.

Yeah, that's pretty much like listening to an F1 race. Just perfect.
