Supra that sells on BAT for $121,000 now for sale at Dealer for $500,000 GTFO here!

Years ago my neighbor owned the local Ford store (as he called it). I noticed he had an original '56 Thunderbird in his home garage and asked why it wasn't on the showroom floor in front of the widow -- sure to attract car guys driving by. A week later it was there inside one of those low white fences. He bought me dinner a month later as he noted sales increased.

there are a lot of very wealthy people in the world with crazy amount of money. all it takes is one person.

But for a good portion of those people, they didn't get rich by not knowing a good deal vs. a bad deal. It might be more believable that someone would pony up if it was like a super rare special edition or configuration, but it's just a manual Supra Turbo with really low miles.

I always assumed this was the deal with the unsold LFA's. Supposedly about a half dozen new unsold ones left around the country. Offer a million and hey, one can be yours.

They don't plan to sell it. The GM or GSM probably wanted the car, puts the car on the showroom but it's his personal car. There's tons of dealers that do this. The Honda down the street from me has an old CVCC with a K-swap listed at some stupid price, the Mitsubishi had a bunch of nice 80's and 90's cars to go along with a brand new Evo 8 (never been sold, just kept in dealer inventory) with like 12 miles on it. They all have some price on it but it's not to sell it for money. They do it so people remember them. I haven't stepped foot in that Mitsu dealer in over 10 years but I can picture their showroom in my head perfectly.

The Thunderbird in my note was not for sale, just parked in the front window. The "dealer added premiums" on several Mustangs at another Ford dealer are essentially "not for sale" either, just like that Toyota.
