Tesla Model 3 Track Day car?
Speed Academy just posted a video of tracking a Tesla Model 3 and some upgrades that help improve the track performance. Not your typical track vehicle, but likely what the future looks like.

Sasha is a cool dude, he won the GT class Canadian Touring Car Championship like 10 years ago in a self-built S14 240SX, which has since been replaced by a pretty cool 350Z.

I thought the issue with track use of these cars is overheating of the battery which puts it into reduced output mode in a lap or so. Any comments regarding cooling or limited laps?

I know it’s been an issue on the Tesla Model S, but doesn’t seem to be an issue on the Model 3, maybe they improved this with the new model? Here is a write up they did on a recent Time Attack win: https://www.mountainpassperformance....win-worldwide/ |

It seems to be much better at handling the heat. The only problem Model 3 users have reported at the track is brakes fading. Fortunately, aftermarket bigger brakes are already available. |

Your M3 weighs about the same as a Model 3. Understeer would likely disappear with a square tire setup. |
