I love the look of the Z4, so before I bought the S2k, I thought I'd give it a look.
After I arrived at the dealership, I scanned the lot. There were roughly 20 Z4's all lined up, in both 2.x and 3.0 guise. EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS AUTOMATIC. 20 cars. No manual trannies. That about made my mind up for me.
The fact that the salesman was a total ass didn't help either.
"Can I take one of these for a test drive?"
"Are you going to buy one today?"
"I don't know, I've never driven one before."
"Why should I let you test drive one if you're not going to buy today?"

I REALLY have to say this: It's "GRANTED". With that said, I am glad you aren't sad about your purchase and your friend agrees with you. Now you have his envy riding shotgun.

Salesmen like that really need a lesson in sales. Im aware that they must get a bunch of joy riders so with time you get hardened towards people walking onto the lot and asking for test drives, but there are better ways in filtering out the ones who can potentially buy the car and the ones who are just there to joy ride. Those type of salesmen arent salesmen, they're jsut cherry pickers who look for the guy who pulls up in a more expensive car wearing a rolex, true salesmen make sales where most only saw a joyrider.
