Default Test drove the new Durango SRT...

Since my wife is growing a pair of babies... we need a bigger baby mover since our family will go from 3 to 5.

So, the natural choice was to check out the new Durango SRT. When we purchased the Cayenne a few years back, we liked the Durango, but something was missing. Well, that missing void now has been filled by this amazing SUV.

The test drive was bananas. So much power. Truck drives smoothly. Everything feels and looks great.
The hood matches our Viper. Lol.

I think we will be making a move in the next week or two and trade in the Cayenne. We love the Cayenne, but we need a couple extra seats for all of these kids!

Well you'll never get sick of that engine. That 6.4 is awesome. My only concern would be the depreciation. It'll be huge.

Isn’t it just odd that dodge makes some of the most fun family cars/suvs out there these days at a reasonable price point. Better even if you find them slightly used. When i was younger I would have not thought that would of been the case.
Have you driven the SRT Jeep? Wonder how the Durango feels compared to that.

^^ I do find it amazing. I would never have expected I'd convert over from foreign cars but there isn't much they're making I'd buy right now. Dodge and Ford are killing it.

I know right! And I won’t go back to GM after they failed me big time and never cared much which was a shame since I do like there V series. 10 more years until I can get back into a coupe is what driving me now lol.

I've got 6 years and 100k mi on my Citadel and we love it - its a true road king that I equate to an LS with a lift kit.

My bro in law has the non-SRT Durango, very nice 3 row. The in-laws have a 3 row Pilot and while I'd likely buy the Honda because of perceived reliability, I think the Durango looks much better. For me, it would be the gas mileage that would keep me from going SRT.

There was one at the One Lap of America event last week turning laps. One of the SRT engineers was driving and couldn't tell us enough about all the things they did to make it track worthy. Pretty cool to see it on track. And with the headers, one of the nicest sounding vehicles that day.
