never had any problems with my evo for the 4.5 years i had it. Solid car, just wasn't for me at the time (commute, gf bitching about noise, harshness, blah blah..she's gone now haha)

only thing was my cat failed but was replaced under warranty...other than that, no mechanical problems whatsoever. It was kinda hard to go to the 'numb' steering feel of the Si after the Evo that's for sure

I love the people who come in here and immediately go "The Evo isn't reliable".

I've had both cars and had 0 issues with either car. You have remember that people with ALWAYS complain and make noise when they have problems, but rarely do so when the car is running fine. I read about issues with both the Evo and the S2000.

Most things that people break on these cars (Evos and S2000s) are their own fault. They either don't maintain the car properly, drive it like a moron, or modify the car without supporting mods that would have made the original mod work perfectly.

At the end of the day it all depends on what YOUR looking for. I miss my S2000 because I loved the "cock-pit" feeling, dropping the top, and RWD is just flat out fun. I love my Evo X because I get great performance and I can still haul people around in it. If I could have both I would, but I can't so the Evo is more practical for me. If I were single and not about to start a family I would have a boosted S2000 or have both cars.

I've owned two STIs and an Evo IX RS. They were all 100% reliable, fast, but not very rewarding to drive except for blowing the doors off unsuspecting cars.

Had a evo VIII before the CR. I think both have bullet proof engines. But i like both for different reasons.

Evo- Great 4 door car thats turboed, makes ton of power for cheap,

S2000-Love the looks,Great cockpit feel to it,best tranny ever.

Now the evo was faster but the CR is much more fun for me to drive. Know i am thinking about selling the CR to get into something with more room. But if i can i will keep my CR and get something else as well

I have both an S2000 and an Evo 9. If I could only have one car, it would be the Evo 9. The Evo 9 is infinitely more practical, and pretty much the sportiest sedan in the world. Both my S2000 and Evo have had flawless reliability.

Ah, the never ending "Get the S2000 if you're a better driver" line. It never gets tiring.

S2K= takes skill to drive fast and be fast
EVO= doesn't take a lot of skill to drive fast, but with skill... is ****** FAST!

Look at all the time attack wins the Evo has racked up. Fastest times are also held by Evos.
