911 Cab is the right choice IMO.

They noted some general maintenance needs, but nothing out of line for a car of this age. The only significant finding was the possibility of a little "dampness" at the rear main seal. Like I said earlier, all Porsches will leak oil, just a question of when. Heck, my Cayman has seeped just a little for 5 years, but has never put a drop on the garage floor. Now we're just negotiating on price to account for that finding and new tires. With any luck, we'll strike a deal and go pick it up Saturday.
Congrats, hope it all works out. Good call on the 997.2. That'll be a lot of fun!

The car is ours! We reached an agreement on price yesterday. Trying to get money wired today, and if all goes smoothly we'll pick it up Thursday.

I can't believe we locked in on a car so quickly. I figured we'd be scouring ads for weeks, and then the right car just kinda fell in our lap. Low miles, uncommon color, and just a few hours away. Last time I bought a Porsche I had to fly halfway across the country for the right car...

Congratulations! That's kind of what happened with my S2k. When I had made the decision that I was going to buy one, the one I now own went up for sale within days. It's like the seller knew somehow.

Give it the TLC it deserves and post up some photos! Love the 997.2.

Gorgeous car and I love the color, if I had been in the same situation that's the one I would have chosen.
