Thoughts on the 2013 Acura TL?
Checked it out at the dealership the other day and currently entertaining the idea of getting it. What do you guys think?
Also was wondering if i should trade in my current s2k to make it easier on myself financially? just another thought.

I had an 06, it was a good car. Had some torque steer, it was sensitive to the type of tires with respect to tire noise, but those are the only negatives I can think of. Elistan said it is 'bland', but if you have other vehicles that are fun, you probably wont care as much, but for an only car it really doesnt work for a real 'car guy'. As far as trading in your S2000 for financial reasons, it sounds like maybe you shouldn't be looking at getting a new $36K car either way.

First word that comes to mind is - big. I have an 06 parked in the driveway right now. The newer models feel a lot bigger to me. Heck, the current TSX is about the same size as my TL. It's competent, nothing flashy about it. Much more comfortable for highway miles though. Not a whole lot of 'fun', but that's why we have other cars, right?

drove a loaner for 3 days.
surprisingly great on gas for what it is. (V6, heavy, sedan)
FAAAst. drove like a freight train compared to our weak torqued S2k.
drove like a boat however. may be the suspension didn't settle down.
if i were you, i would get the previous gen TL and KEEP the S2k.

oh ok. I couldn't do it. I'd DD a 98 civic before I sold my s2k. I agree with others saying to go for the previous gen TLs. 07 and 08 can be had a for a lot less.
I'm kinda diggin the IS350 though.
and most cars feel like a boat if after driving an s2k

Looks like you made your decision. You can get into a very low mileage 2012 certified car for about $30k. We just bought one, the only things I'm not pleased with are the 130 mph governor, which apparently can't be circumvented, and what I consider to be a little too much road noise. Runs reasonably well, handles well enough for a sports/luxury sedan and gets good gas mileage. Had one tank of interstate driving that came in at about 32 mpg.
