Default TopGear tears up the BMW 1M

What a little monster. I went in to order a 2012 M5 and had a convo with the sales manager. My dealership has zero allocation left of the 1M. Production stops by December and there will be no 2012 model. It was easier to get my M5. If I can find a lightly used one next year I might bite. I'd definitely say it's legit. Sorry, I don't know how to embed.

Yeah it's a shame they are only making so few of them. Everyone that reviews it seems to absolutely love it.

Everything about it undercuts the M3, so I'm not terribly surprised its production limited.

Edmunds just compared it to the SRT-8 Challenger for fast fun for $50k and it got 2nd to it.

Jeremy summed up what I never saw in the car before as it's basically a BMW parts bin with some tuning done to it.
As great as it may seem, I would like a little "soul" or character in the car.

Still I wouldn't turn it away from the garage. I'm not sold on the 1M just yet...

rwd, turbo 6 speed, hopefully LSD in the back. sounds perfect for me. big enough for 2 people. small enough so people won't want to sit in the back

Edmunds picked the Challenger for reasons like it's more likely to piss off Prius drivers. Edmunds basically states that the 1M and Challenger are different cars aimed at different buyers.

The 1M also lost their burnout contest to the Challenger.
