Thumbs up trivia: pop-up headlights

is there a single car presently in manufacture that uses pop-up headlights? I *think* I know of one... but I'd have to check to see if it is still in production. I know the Lotus Esprit still had pop-up headlights when it fairly recently went out of production.

can anybody think of another car with these?

Can't think of one and good riddance. Might have been cool for about 15 minutes, the 928 was the one cool "pop-up" treatment.

^ I dunno, I still kinda prefer the look of the pop-ups on the last gen of NSX vs. their current headlights.

do they still make the Ferrari 456? if not-- and if no other manufacturers make pop-up headlights-- I think it is officially the last car manufactured with that feature

the 2nd to last car I believe was the Lotus Esprit. if I'm right, it's interesting that the last 2 cars with this design were both supercars.

here's some other interesting trivia questions I just stumbled upon (it's been a fairly slow night at work ).

1) where is the battery located in the 360 Modena?
2) where is the battery located in the 355? what major part needs to be removed in order to be able to remove the battery?

No, the 456 was replaced last year by the 612 Scaglietti, which means that the C5 Corvette was still being produced with pop-ups after the 456 was discontinued.

You mean like on all C5 vettes? Yeah, out of production but just barely. The pop-up aspect is cool. The wimpy output of the C5 lights is not!
