Ehh......3.6L V8 twin turbo and only 512rwhp?? Not real impressive by today's standards, escpecially considering how much that kit must cost.
Too some degree I do agree =)

F430 as an example runs high 11's at only 500 engine hp =)

Haha, that isn't too slow =)

My guess is with that Turbo, that Modena would a 10 second 1/4 mile ? I wouldn't doubt it...

It's a car. Any car can be modified. Ferraris have had tuners since the 80s.

I dunno. most people who buy Modena's don't do so to drag race. If you want a $200K drag racer, I'd imagine a vetter or viper would be better suited.

A mustang is an even better choice.

Well when someone above mentioned that isn't impressive by today's standards... my response to hp / was that should be fast enough is all.

Besides that, F430 Coupe can be had at 250k

And the Modena's aren't too much more expensive than the M5/M6's... =)

What amazes me is that the stock 360(or atleast the one on the dyno) is 341rwhp.

I have seen other dyno's of 360's with 325+ HP. So IMHO that means that Ferrari really is overrating their engines.

That's about 600 hp at the engine. That's not bad at all. Especially for a high revving 3.6L V8. Even looking at modified engines with nearly twice that displacement and "regular" boost levels they are putting out less. Also, these are Ferrari owners. They are probably looking for reliability & everyday drivability vs. all out hp. Read where they are getting this on a relitively mild 5-6 psi boost level. Looking at kits such as ATI Procharger on the new 6.0 L C6 and they are looking at about this level, or the C5 Z06 Vortech units and they are about high 400's (540 at the engine) at these boost levels.

And Ferraris are in the "If you have to ask, you can't afford it category" in terms of mod prices & cars. I'm sure guys that are buying these cars & modding them, are not worried about it like you & I would be.
C5 Z06 with a Vortech or a Procharger is putting out at least 500rwhp at the stock 6lb psi. Same goes for the C6 with S/C. If it's putting out less than 500rwhp then that means either the tune is not right or it's an automatic. Swap out the pulley and it'll be close to 600rwhp. The limiting factor is the high CR aluminum motor, which is probably the case in the 360 also. I'm sure if they dropped the CR on that motor they'll come up with alot more power.
