Virtually every comparison between the ST siblings are noted just like this. The Fiesta is more fun and a little more pure but the Focus more livable space wise. I did not even consider the Focus ST as I use my Fiesta as a city runabout driving solo most of the time so space is not an issue.

The current Fiesta ST will go down as one of, and in some opinions the best sporting FWD car ever.

Honda engineers have shown interest in building a sportier Fit, it just needs approval from the bean counters.
We first got a civic si in 1986, 1985 if you count the "civic cr-x".

And have had one in every generation since.

Yeah, I don't need the daily-life space; I was just looking for something fun for commutes, so the Fiesta was a good draw. The Abarth 500 was also interesting, but neither are what I would call good utility cars because they are tiny.

At the price range the Si will show up at, not to even mention the R, I'd take the new Miata over it all day long. If I'm buying a two door it's not going to have a backseat.
Yup. Pick up a cheap DD if u need backseats.

I test drove the Fiesta ST a while back and it was great! If the new Si is anything like that I'd be interested if I ever had room for a sporty daily. Right now, I need to have the jeep in the winter.
