Viper is SOOO uncomfortable!
One of my best friends has an 05' Viper. I've driven it before but it's been a while and man I forgot how uncomfortable it is to sit in and drive!
Has any1 else driven a Viper?

Just drove my buddy's '06 SRT-10 Coupe. Seats are AWESOME, shifter and steering wheel has PERFECT geometry between each other. Clutch is light on takeup, gates are nice and tight.
Honestly, having driven an '06 911S, '06 Z06, and now this Viper, the Viper was the EASIEST to drive fast.
The ONLY two things somewhat uncomfortable about it was the visibility and the ride was pretty harsh. However, the trade-off for the harsh ride was some damn good handling and shock rebound control. It is damn near impossible to upset this chassis, even on very rough pavement/bumps, unless you do something really stupid.

Not sure what the differences are between the previous years and the '06 Viper Coupe, but the seats fit great and really hold you in the corners. Gearbox felt tighter than ANY other stock T56 tranny car I've driven (which is most, if not all, of them in the last 7-8 years). Car was a long way from being a POS.
Anyway, if you guy's have driven a previous year Viper, I recommend testing out an '06 Coupe before bashing it. It was much more impressive than I thought it would be.

I've like the feel of all models, but then I don't expect a super cushy street tourer. They Viper was designed as an in-your-face, take no prisoners type of vehicle.
But then I think the S is a little too cushy so who am I to be talking?

You guys don't feel uncomfortable with the side catching on fire all the time? I've read in Car and Driver that you could actually cook a burger on the panels of the car.

ive driven a '98 GTS for a good 2 hours straight, and other than some bad swamp-ass, i found it otherwise fine. i guess the new SRT-10s are a bit different. i found it more odd that the pedals are offset to the left, and theres no deadpedal (gas where brake should be, brake where clutch should be, clutch where dp should be). dunno if SRT10s are the same like that either.
