th bmw is a better drive...the volvo is perhaps a better car for the money. comfy seats, more room, 4 wheel drive, volvo safety, more hp, ....but a choice as to which is better...same money...will you keep these cars for long? volvo is better on your maintenance dollar over time, we have a 1999 volvo S70 T5 which has not cost $1,000 since new except for normal maintenance, tires b rakes, etc...could you say as much for a bmw? no...we also have a 1998 328i sedan, granted it has 10,000 more miles on it..but it has cost just 5,000 in the past two years...plus thenormal stuff...the bmw is a better drive..no question...but the volvo is easier to live with and no slouch in the performance dept...on rainy days i do love the front wheel drive.

You may want to look at the Audi S4, they were running a special of $499 month not too long ago...with minimal down you should be able to be around $600.

[QUOTE=enlightenment,Jul 14 2006, 03:37 PM] Another option could be a 2006 BMW 330i. I'm not sure but BMW should be offering some dealer cash on these to discount them, as the 2007 will be arriving soon. These also have a good residual and money factor (36 mo/15k mi

I don't think the RS4 hitting the showrooms would impact the A4/S4.
I'd say the 330i is definitely a better driver experience than the S60R. I test drove both pretty extensively a year ago along with other cars and kept on coming back to the 330i.
Short of going for an M3, S4, CTS-V level car, I'd say the 330i is definitely the cream of the crop. If you want to wait, you could look at the upcoming 335 for even more power.

I have the S60R and its excellent. Really fast, great handling for its weight, comfortable, reliable, luxurious, and has a nice silhouette. 4C chassis is wonderfully versatile, with Brembo brakes and Ohlin shocks.
Think of it this way, what else can you get for $36.5k?
