I can't believe people still think this is real. I just got back from Australia a few weeks ago and there is no such law. There are cars much more powerful roaming around there than some mad VTEC carz.

They aren't talking about banning those cars from the road, just to young drivers with a restricted license who don't have the skills to handle a power change (I just CAN'T call it a power surge on a Civic)

I took it as a real article that someone had "dolled" up to show their true feelings about how bizarre the reasoning was for the cars listed.

No it's a joke, taking the piss out of the VTEC Crowd.

Yes they have laws in Australia which restrict what cars Learners and Provisional drivers generally 16-21 year olds can drive. They have recently been introduced (3 years) as the death rate among young drivers was getting completely out of hand.

Well, should toyota be banned for VVTLi? OR BMW with Vanos? This is BS.
