You know how dealers are usually trying to get you to buy extra opions or things you dont need, like the extended warranty on a lease (seriously a guy tried to give this to my father)...
well what if you went into a dealership looking for a Civic V-tec or a V-6 Accord and started "eyeing" the S2000 (knowing all along that its what you want). And you get the dealer to "tell you something about it" and say well you came in here looking for a nice sporty accord but if you can make me a good offer ill think about it.
Im wondering if a dealer will go real low (closer to the accord price) to get you to ultimately spend a few grand more than you were planning on, making him feel like a real salesman...
Do you think this might work in ultimatley bringing the cost down lower than just haggling with him.

I was a salesmanager at a hondastore just 3 months ago . Looking at different cars would make no difference on the deal you are going to get for the S2000. What makes a difference is how long that car stayed there and what kind of day or week the dealer is having or maybe the end of the month.1-there is a market value for every vehicle 2-If you start grinding me on the price I just tell you that you don't know the value of the S2k and would suggest you to buy a accord coupe. By the way i got mine 500 below invoice . my lease payments are 388 for 48 mos with 15k a year.
