What to get? 1M vs. '10 Evora
Can't decide. Currently i have 3 cars (H3, S2K, GTI). Im looking to add a car. I have a 1M on order arriving next month.
Now i found a good deal for an Evora. 2010 brand new Evora asking $65k, i could probably get it for around 55-58k.
What would you do?
Thanks for the input guys!
I bought the 1M.

I would probably go 1M. It offers a new type of experience where the evora would be in many ways very similar to your s2k. If you are doing it more for image, I would say go Evora, as most people will not see the 1M as anything more than just a 1-series.

I think if i got the evora i might sell the s2000. If i got the 1M i would def. keep the s2000.

1M should also be faster than the Evora. And if they do what they normally do with their FI cars, there is a good amount of extra power to be had with exhaust and a re-flash on the BMW.
I do like the idea of the Evora, but to me it is just too soft and too every day oriented. I have ridden in two at the track and I was left feeling disappointed. To me it is much like a Cayman. It does everything either well or very well, but doesn't stand out as something super special in any way. It is what happens when a company that is great at making track oriented cars tries to make a car that will appeal to more people. (and in that respect I think that they succeeded.)

I love the concept of the 1M. Spiritual successor of the E30 M3. Kind of light, very powerful, and easy to toss around. I am interested to see how one drives. Tons of torque in a small 1 series is a killer. The Evora doesn't do anything for me either. Styling is somewhat bland. VERY cramped interior. Not as exclusive as the 1M. IMHO

I can't get over the frumpy styling of the BMW. Even with the fender flares and quad exhaust, it's not enough. Meanwhile the Evora is gorgeous to look at and more involving to drive.

Evora. The 1M looks fun but like all newer BMWs, while efficient, strikes me as too clinical.

The Evora shits all over the 1M as far as looks go, but performance-wise, 1M is so amazing. It's pretty much a baby M3.
This would be a difficult choice for anyone, but if I were in your shoes, the Evora would be in my garage. You can cancel the order of the 1M, right? If so, do it! The Evora is better!
