What would you do if you ran the show?

Every car must be fun to drive with sporty handling, you want a Buick ride, go buy a Buick.
As an extension of that, weight is the anti-fun ingredient, design with keeping weight to a minimum.
Adequate power but no power just for power's sake. Plenty of example of fun to drive cars that do not have 900hp. 250 hp is plenty in a car of 3000 pounds or less. If you don't believe it go try a Legacy turbo. Putting a 5.7 liter Hemi just gets you a big fat car with a 5.7 liter Hemi.
As an extension of that, efficiency. Fun to drive and quick need not meen 12 miles to the gallon. See points 2 and 3.
Classy clean styling, no plastic gimmicks. Keep frivoulous options to a minimum, who needs a heads up display?
No car prices above $35 in my lineup, thats what Bimmers and Porsches are for.
Demming's Total Quality Managemnet (TQM) would be folllowed. DOn't buy the cheapest switch, buy the best one.
That would be my philosophy. Offer fun and effiecient sporty cars for moderate prices. They would emulate Mini's, S2000's, Miata, Mazda 3's, Civics, Mazda 6, Legacy's and WRX's, and perhaps top out with something like a (with a little more power)TSX. That's to name a few. If I want to start building high power $50K luxury rockets, chances are somebody does it better and its a smaller audience, less room for failure. (go ask Infinity)
Why? Those are examples of cars I like. If you don't, this thread let's you come up with your own company. Go build Hummers.

VW: stop trying to build overpriced wannabe-BMW's. that's what Audi already does.
go back to building solid economy and family cars
Acura: switch to RWD already; build a V8 for the RL

relax dude,
it's just a hypothetical "let's have fun" thread...
All threads must bend to the iron will of Captain Obvious!
Don't make me get my monkey kung-fu style out.
