Default What Are Your Project/Track Only Cars?

Just wondering what are your project cars? Im currently mulling over
what a good project car for me would be. Maybe a 240sx with a skyline engine
or a 90's miata (yikes!) with a turbo hayabusa motor.

What kind of motor you got in your formula, CG? Ford Kent? Bike?

My track is my S2000, though it's driven quite often on surface roads. My real daily driver is a '72 Camaro (383), which is also my project car...

With an all-motor 383 and 500+ at the wheels, it's an affront to God himself.

It's a Quicksilver built Ford 2L. Legal to run as a FC or CFC. 1000 pounds or less with driver. It's fairly quick.

Your Camaro sounds like a fun monster. My last car of that nature was a 69 Mustang 428 SCJ loaded with"marine" parts and while I never had it on a dyno it was believed to be putting down over 500. Of course with that heavy big block up front your 72 probably would have smoked me. All I had to do was drop my foot at 80mph to leave two black streaks. It was fun but it sucked as a daily driver. It never got more than 6.7mpg (best) and it hated to start after it was fully warmed up, but DAMN it was fun.

My track (not dragstrip) car is a modded WRX... nothing like AWD to lay the smack down

I drive the S daily for 3 seasons salt to salt so to speak.

I'm thinking about this....

or maybe this........

The final cost will be about the same I guess the difference would be another plaything for the street or one only for the track.

Decisions.....decisions
