If I had big bucks, the F12 Ferrari would very high only my list. Just amazing lines, aero management and enough HP to never be tame. Super impressive car.

If I keep the Boxster 10-15 years, at replacement time I'll be in my 70's and perhaps my next purchase might indeed be my last. Will I still be able to get into and out of a roadster? If so, hmmm, NE or NF Miata or whatever they are making. I'm really working on keeping the car miles down (but am on-track for 3500 miles on the bicycle this year) so the next car might last a long, long time (garage kept). This implies a more practical spousemobile, when the S2000 goes I'm talking to my wife about a BRZ or a 2-door Civic Si so we'll have one car with a back seat and a roof.

If I have to give up sports cars and drive a transportation box -- then I really do not care what it is.

Porsche 911. No question.

I did test drive a 2008 Z06 and loved it but the 911 brings a huge advantage of practicality.

Lot's of Porsche here! I'd love to own something 6cylinder twin turbo, like the R35. I own the s2000 & an evo x which are great machines, but that R35 is just a beast.

If you're talking ONE car that's fun and has the best mix of practicality then a 911 with a back seat is hard to beat... I'd argue it cannot be beat. You can get a nice 996 for 20K so it's not even like we're only limiting to high end.

I'd beg to differ on cannot be beat. Certainly it's an easier to own choice for a "four seat" sports car, but there are others that offer the same or even more engaging driving experience...

name one. I'd put the lotus evora up there but support is limited and reliability would be a consideration.

That is one and DB11 or Ferrari FF would be two others.
