from a performance standpoint I agree that these other track day special cars are `better`. but I think thats ignoring what this car is supposed to be...it is not meant to be a track only car. its just a piece of art that can be driven on the road and the track.

if you saw one of these park on the street you would wait and see if batman got out of the thing.

I know, which is why I'm surprised that a CF car that seats fewer than the McLaren's three weighs so much more. Wikipedia had a "single or two seater" comment which is why I said what I did - I now see wikipedia, not unusually , is wrong - it's two seater only. An in-line two seater. I guess that's why it's so tall (6 inches taller than an Enzo!) - so that the GIB can see out. And why it's so long - nearly 8 inches longer than an Enzo.

I guess I think of this as Vertu phones - same software and componentry as regular phones, but ridiculously expensive because of the materials used. Similarly, the Tramontana has the same CF construction and performance as regular supercars, but uses things like silver wiring with gold connectors, solid white gold emblems, and diamond encrusted interiors to up the bling and the cost without doing anything for the actual driving experience.
