Since my S is creeping closer to becoming a track car, I have thought about it. I would probably get it as a daily and I would get the Scion version rather than the Subaru version. I would not trade in my S though.

if i needed a DD then yea, but not replace the s2k
stock ap2 makes 240 crank - 200whp on average, stock frs should have similar drive train loss so we are looking at 200hp crank to 160whp. So from a drivers stand point you are losing 40whp and gaining a rear seat/roof. Oem s2k has just perfect balance of weight/power - enough to keep you occupied when driving at the limit, now imagine your s2k with 40less whp, I don't think that would be too much fun.

Apples to oranges right now. As a replacement for the S, it needs to be a convertible, the hp / lack of FI / etc are all secondary to me in that regard. We can revisit this if and when that ever happens.

170 whp would be 15% drivetrain loss. 180 whp sounds high but it could easily read that high, depending on the dyno used...
