The GTR is expected to be available in three different model levels. Despite our previous reports of a 4.5 liter V8 engine delivering 450hp, it is now commonly known that it will be a 480hp twin-turbo V6 engine in the standard base GTR as well as the middle level GTR V-Spec. They will be priced at roughly $57,000 and $67,000 respectively. The range topping EVO version with the same VQHRTT engine as the standard and V-Spec models gets a power increase up to 530hp while losing 220 lbs. from the body for an unbelievably inexpensive price of $94,000.

I think he forgot his <sarcasm> tags...they're perhaps the most important in internetsland.
Anyhow, the EVO model is a massively expensive upgrade. I really hope Nissan got the market research right on that. Nissan will be leading Japan's second performance coming though, with this car. I can't wait for the reviews to start.

wow, still too soon to say, but it's sounding good.
The range topping evo spec does sound expensive but I wonder what else you get with the extra power and less weight, I mean perhapse the weight savings also icludes ceramic brakes which typically are a $10K option. But the point is it's a big price jump from the base/mid level to the top for 'only' 50hp which from a FI engine you should be able to get cheap from aftermarket.
I wonder what its going after, with the Z06/C6 on one side and the 911s on the other. I guess a little of both along with M3s etc.. thrown in for good measure.
The EVO-spec price near $100K had better measure up to the $110K/$120K Porsche GT3/Turbo or else its going to be hard for me to justify a lesser make such as Nissan in this price range.

vspec must be the model that keeps up with the 911TT. lol evo model gonna fail. there is a very little market for people who willing to spend 94k+ on a nissan when they can get a m5, cls63, cayman s, etc etc etc

I think the two lower end versions will sell pretty well. Nissan will probably only make a few evo models so they won't have to sell too many. Owning a 94k nissan might pose some issues for people used to porsche, audi, bmw, etc service, but if fast enough people might not care. It will be an interesting experiment for sure.

nissans got what 35 yrs in the US. and the Skyline GTR is only famous with the playstation gen.
when you ask the average joe with 50-80k to spend on a sports car, your not going to get to many that will mention Nissan.
