i went from a S to a Z (current dd 07 350z enth) and its "ok". Ill give it that its easier to live with day to day (even though my S was had a hardtop-ed and had substantially upgraded audio) and power is ready to be delivered at most rpms - but that's about it. The z, literally, never put a smile on my face while i was driving it like the S seemed to(maybe I'm getting old, idk). The quality and dependability (not that its left me stranded, but it has/had its issues) of z have been most disappointing. make sure you do your research and make sure the car is all sorted out if you are entertaining the thought of getting a Z

I would skip the nc mx-5. I have both a mx-5 and a s2000. I got the mx-5 for my wife but any time we go anywhere just the 2 of us we take my s2000.
