Your opinion: Sell ND Miata and get S2K?

Enjoy your S. Lovely car.
Something about the styling of the S grabbed me the first time I saw it and it still has a hold on me. The Miata? Not so much. Seeing them side by side like that I am immediately drawn to the S. I think for some odd reason the S styling reminds me of the Austin Healey 3000, and that is part of why it grabs me. I love the look of the AH 3000. Always have.

One man's "dated" is another man's "classic beauty." My personal take is that the s2k has lovely classic lines. The Miata? Over-stylized. But, it is a nice car for sure. Just not for me. A buddy owns one and he loves it.

Hey man,
I got an S2K last week thinking it would be my dream week end car but i now have massive buyers regrets, i should have bought the NC miata i test drove as i wanted more of an easy to drive tossable roadster. The S2k is too serious all the time plus mine is modified with mods that i hate like an invidia exhaust and test pipe. I am trying to get it back to stock now and hoping to start liking it more. My advice is test drive a Z4 3.0Si or M. Dont listen to the Honda Fanboys at the current prices the S2000 is NOT worth it. Get a cheaper Z4 3.0Si or nice NC2 Miata Club and call it a day. You wont have to worry about civic drivers stealing your seats.

The Invidia is awful at least for me. I found it unbearable. I negotiated $250 off for the previous owner to keep his invidia and install stock which he had. OEM muffler is pretty quiet. I find the S2k to be relaxing when I want it to be. Not the softest ride but a pleasant place to be when I want to cruise. It’s pretty chill under 50 mph. Not a great highway car but not awful either. I’d suggest to give it another shot with the OEM exhaust. If you find you don’t like a car that a lot of us here love then no harm. Plenty of of other fish in the sea.
