I have the facelift m135i and its a great car. I daily mine but i cant imagine it to be much more fun than your golf with the spec it has. I guess the bmw will sound nicer but other than that its still a modern German hatch.

GT86?
You'd get one well under £30k.
Similar vibes to the S2000 (although that may be a down side)
4 seats...........3 of them are even usable!

I can recommend a Lexus ISF and I always fancied the V8 SLK (I've a V8 itch I need to scratch one day)

perfect setup.

Or spend some cash tuning the ATR so it goes like a dc5. Ours has 250 bhp after Hondata remap and is a hoot to drive plus does the mundane stuff.

If you can stretch your budget a bit, Nissan GT-R will be all you ever need

Fair enough, they are pretty big and look even bigger when you pull up to one in an S2000.

Maybe an FK8 Civic Type R will be more up your street. I love the way the BTCC one has been styled.

Your £30k would easily find you a great low mileage E46 M3 CS without the aforementioned woes. All you have to do is make sure you buy one that has had the subframe done (by BMW) and is low enough mileage for you. A manual one will ensure it will be sort after when you sell it.

Actually, scrap that - just looked on PistonHeads and the kind of one I know you would want is more than your budget ! They are now £35k FFS !!!!

You could get an ultra low mileage Z4M like your mate's one, but I suspect that is too similar (and less involving) to your S2000 LOL .

How about an R32 GTR and spend some money on making it yours - they are on the up though, so get in quick!

I guess I need to make up my mind to eaither keep the S2k and buy something around the 25-30k mark or sell and have around 40-45k . That scares me having that sort of money in one car !!

The z4 coupe in my thread is my brother in laws and is only the 3L not the M .... is so different to the S2k , a mini muscle car and not so delicate to drive as the Honda .... really have to man handle it . A nice z4m coupe with sensible miles ( sub 70k) does appeal and can be had by the looks of it around the 20-25k . Also can’t see it loosing a lot of money which is a nice thought .

that does look pretty mean !! I think I’m done with hot hatch’s though . Had quite a few and are an absolute brilliant all rounder but always get a bit bored of them !
