No but inside looks like a Focus L model

Outside I think it looks tough as nails!

Does it?
It seemed to have the same Recaros the RS4, S3 and R32 used?

I think that's the sum total of the upgrades, Mikey. Garish body-coloured seats and maybe a fancy gearknob.

I drove a brand new focus the other day, and was shocked at how little body roll there was on even the cooking variety. There was loads of grip, but it still understeered like a bitch and it wasn't too partial to LOO. Driving position is like driving a crane though, not sporty in the slightest, and this appears to be the same with the ST and RS ones too from reviews I've read.

That's always the case with hot hatches though.

And ANYTHING is going to feel like a crane after an elise.

Actually, it's not just C-segment that have universally adopted the Bus/Crane/FIAT driving position; a lot of D-segments are starting to get that way, too.

It's like the 1950s all over again. Onlu the cars are uglier and heavier.

I think the Focus is quite possibly the most overrated car of the last decade

A Mondeo is a far better drive

Ah, but you're not comparing like for like. you have to compare the focus to the golf/astra/megane/c segment.

The mondeo is rated by many as a better drive than the bottom end BMW 3 series for example.

nope, I'm comparing the Focus to every other car on the road

I think they are overrated

I'm not sure how a Mondeo is a better drive than a 'bottom end' 3-series

A Mondeo is a Mondeo and a 3-series a 3-series until you get into the top of each range

And speaking generally, I wouldn't agree that the Mondeo generally is the better drive

Not much in it, but BMW still have it over Ford, and then there's the quality (which you pay for)

No but i've seen one the otherday, didnt look to bad on the outside.

I imagine there will be a few people buying them thinking they are the dog bollocks when they are not.

300BHP etc blah blah but its getting toward 1.5ton!

I havent got a lot on this weekend, so i might test drive one and give them some speil about wanting to trade in the S as i have kids on the way...NOT

Mind you i wasnt impressed with the old Focus RS but i dont think its a fair comparison.
