Default 2 weeks ago I bought....

A Toyota IQ!

Just for commuting to work and back.... She will pay for herself within a year with the money I save on using the Shogun for the same - £800 on brakes a year and 20mpg due to the 10 roundabouts with 70mph approach on the way to work!

Looks a bit daft next to the beast!!

Good work Ian - a small car for that kind of commute makes perfect sense. I wish i'd bought my Aygo years earlier.

Interesting choice - I've long been fascinated by the concept of a luxury small car.

Must you select gear ratios yourself, or is it more sophisticated?

The name reminds me of a vandalised car name on the back of an old BL Montego years ago.

Some wit had removed the 'e' and inverted the 'M' to 'W': thus 'Wont go'

Shame about the apostrophe

imagine commuting dry and warm?
nope.. can't.. the traffic here is so shit it takes me 2-3 times as long in a car as on a bike..

they've always intrigued me as a Japanese smart but i'd just do it in the S2.. don't you have 2 of those stashed away somewhere?

You haven't seen the standard of driving in MK central or the size of the spaces / number of 4X4 parked in them.

It's a 1.0L manual
Keyless, which freaked me out a bit to start with

Just one stashed away - in the garage behind the Shogun - don't get it out as often as I would like, just as moving the other 3 cars round is a PITA! And I'm looking after it a bit more now, being an appreciating asset and all that

The Mrs said she was never getting in "that sardine tin" but she drove it the other day and quite enjoyed it

Might get some 18" alloys for it

a year or so back I had a Rover tourer

this rivals it for undesirability!

I lost my mind - have you?

I still have to think how to turn the 86 off, after groping for an ethereal key.

One day, I'm gonna try to turn the S2000 off by crashing the starter pinion into the spinning ring gear...senility.
