Default Is Audi the new BMW ?

Seems that every second car on the road nowadays is an Audi Tedious (TDS)

All filthy, pumping out black smoke, never use indicators and lane hog (and thats even when I'm in the beater )

People are like sheep nowadays.......drive a Monotony Diesel, don't have any individuality and be grumpy with everyone.

Rant over....

I find that with diesel drivers; the ones you talk to seem to feel the need to tell you how much torque they have and how good their 0-60 times are even with good fuel economy (as if I care!) And the ones on the road seem to need to prove it (judging by the puffs of black smoke coming out whenever I come up behind one).

It's very tedious; they chose their car for a reason, that's their business; i don't really care about it's comparison to mine !!

a lot of company drivers have little choice

plenty of companies have diesel only choices

the other reason is that the chooser pays for their own fuel

it cannot be that these people prefer the diesel experience

they clearly wish for performance - or why else would they drive the way they do?

I know if I see those 5 rings in my rearview mirror (yes the 5th one behind the wheel) I'm in for a hard time as soon as I hit a 30 zone

It's the same with pretty much all the VAG marques, that same certain smug (and unjustified) air of superiority.

Particularly desperate seem to be the owners of Skoda estates
"it's really an Audi underneath and it's fast...pleeeeeeaaaassse notice me, pleeeeeaaaaase!

As they overtake you in the last 300 yards of a 30 zone and the hold you up for the next 10 miles by driving as fast as they can on all the straights

I can't believe you put up with that

round here it's 4x4 diesels that get in the way

quite what they are thinking of, trying to out accelerate my car

I cannot imagine

I can only thing that somewhere

maybe on Planet Vag(inisimus)

there must be a performance stat that shows a diesel Disco/Shogun/Rangie?Warrior/Animal/All Road

faster than my car (falling off a cliff maybe?)

sad fecking losers

and people say I'm bitter

Unforunatley it becomes chest hair speeds in a few hundred yards to get past them, depends on the time of year but as you know it's not always worth it.

Next I'll be putting long posts complaining how other drivers flashed their lights at me when I was hurtling towards them at 120 on the wrong side of the road.

I'm a big fan of 4 by 4s driving up your funnels in speed restricted zones, since the headlights are exactly where my mirrors all point (and they usually have more lights than wembley on the front of these things)

I can lose them for a while but my commute is peppered with small rural villages, and when I inevitably slow down, they do not (and then seem to think as they drive up your tail pipe, they somehow have the moral high ground)

I need a tazer gun, a rubber pipe and an area with no witnesses.

Have to agree with Dreamer on this one. I've lost track of the number of times some oil tanker sized diesel estate car has tried to prove something to me at the traffic lights grand prix. I never bite, so all I get is a cloud of black billowing smoke from their chromed exhaust pipes.

If I wanted to race you, I'd do it on the track you fool. Watching them crawl round the tight and twisty bends always puts a smile back on my face though
