Default BMW Bastardise Another Marque

Not content with the MINI, that pastiche of a classic British car to appeal to Estate Agents and people who wear too much hair gel, BMW are now mangling another British classic from the past.....

Front looks alright. Rear does not.

Regardless, I think this might even be news even to BMW!! AutoExpress make it up as they go along, quiet time of year you see

Actually I think it looks quite good - regardless of whether it's going to happen or not

Apart from it looking too much like a Chrysler Crossfire I like what they have tried to do.

Why would they do it? They already have the Z4, the 3-series cab, and now the 1-series cab. Makes no sense whatsoever to me.

The MINI filled a gap in their model range, the TR doesn't.

I think BMW got the Mini spot on.

The new Rolls is a superb IMO update.

Compare that with what Audi have done to Bentley.

And wait and see what if anything BMW do with Triumph before passing judgement.

Who in the name of god would buy one though ?

Mind you...people bought Rovers for years.

Absolutely no substance in the article or the picture.

Wank journalism.

I like it. Be nice to see triumph back as a brand, particularly if BMW make them proper driving machines rather than the normal 318i style 'driving machines' or the cruiser Z4.

I always think its a shame that rover didn't get to reap the rewards of all the development they put into the mini. Would have been interesting to see what they could have made of it.
