The DC5 is supposedly not as good to drive as the DC2, and significantly more expensive - 2001 mint DC2 = £5k. 2001 mint DC5 is closer to £10k.

A tuned version with some carbon Mugen parts is a beautiful machine IMO.
But alas the used prices, as you say are IMO stupid.
Ten grand for a nine year old Honda hatch?
Nah, 13K got me a low mile one owner, 2.5 year old R26 and thats even better to drive everywhere.
Ultimately, this engine problem cast too many unknowns and put me off buying into an FD2 or similar new Hondas.
MK2 CRX, i have had 4 now, still own one and thin i iwll always have one.
