e46 bmw 330i msport
Im starting to get itchy feet over my s2. dont get me wrong i do love the car never let me down and everytime i drive it whether its roof up or down it does put a smile on my face.
However i really want to go back to a car with 5 seats (leather) something still with good performance and sporty looking and feel.
I have been thinking about possibly a 330ci m sport likely to be e46 as i dont think finance will stretch to a new model.
Car seems to fit the bill in terms of what im looking for. According to performance figures it does seem there or there abouts to the s2 only 5 seats and lots of toys!
Now come the questions for you, has anyone made the change fom s2 to 330 m sport?
should i look for a manual or is the SSG box worth a punt?
anyone got any views on the beemer? or other suggetions that may fit the bill?

It was a great car which has lost a lot of value as the E46 is an old looking car now.
Good engine, but IMO I would steer clear of the auto box which is average. We had it in our 330Ci cab and I was not a fan.
It's not as quick as an S or as much fun, but does have good space inside, good boot and quick enough. Get a late E46 with lots of toys, personally I would look for an early E90 330i saloon which has the newer N52 engine which is much nicer and probably not as expensive as you think.
Great post Moggy

Why you can't at least be civil I don't know.
Or are you still smarting after your s2000 vs 330 calculation debacle

No idea what you are on about.
I've had 2 e46 330i Msports
a 2001 5 door and a 2004 3 door
I thought they were brilliant..
Fast enough, comfortable (girlfriend could sleep on long journeys), lots of toys and good (enough for me) MPG on the motorway.
If i ever have to do long journeys again i'll have another.
couldn't recommend them highly enough
