If you go on Piston Heads classifieds, and filter the M3's from price high to low, the drop even on a few month old M3 is staggering. Think I would prefer the slightly more wild E46 though.

Went out for my first proper play, as opposed to a B-road blast. Lots of industrial estate roundabouts.
Turned DSC off, Sport on.
It's a big pussy cat. A touch of understeer that's easily corrected with throttle, both lift off oversteer and power oversteer
It's very grippy considering its weight. The steering is a bit odd. It could really do with a quicker rack, but overall gives more feedback. It is a touch too light though. Might see what I can do about that.
And I think ARB's could the order of the day. It's a nice way to kill the body roll without ruining the ride too much.
Whilst I never got it particularly sideways, it did inspire lots of confidence and its repute as a drift machine may well be deserved.
