Just to update, I have collected my bike from Barnstaple. took it out today for it's maiden voyage (except test ride).
My initial plan was to ride it back to Bristol from Barnstaple (100miles) up over the A39, which is a stunning road I enjoy with the s2k. Unfortunately the road conditions were:
Instead I got it picked up in one of the HGVs I operate, which made life slightly easier!

only pootled around for 40 miles today, fingers are still painful. !!

So four months of crap had accumulated on the bike - salt, sh1t, snow etc etc.
It looked like this:
So after 3 hours of cleaning the results of the ACF 50 were:
Not too bad a result I reckon. Admittedly there are a few bolts that would need some extra love and attention but on the whole the bike survived winter quite nicely.
big for ACF-50

Fog. Hate riding in the stuff, doesn't matter what products are used - first the visor goes and once you wipe it you have to keep wiping it and then your glasses start to mist over because you've got the visor cracked open to peer out of the clear slot and after an hour you can see fark hall. Can't go fast enough in thick fog to clear the visor with air pressure so going to try a shorter buff and do away with the balaclava on the foggy mornings, i can cope with a visor that's a bit misty but not glasess AND visor.
It either needs to warm up and dry out or i need to start looking at contact lenses.
Not really noticing the cold over the last couple of weeks so at least the gear is working well, 5.30am the roads are fairly quiet at least

Anybody else out enjoying the nice weather?
We had to ride down a tiny access road to get there! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccscIFhYguY
