mate works there :-) Very cool!!!! So no, not officially open yet ... we got a sneak preview along with quite a few others, mostly friends / family of employees i think.

So after a year of not making a decision ... this is what i decided upon. One of the first Z1000SX 2017 models with the led lights and fancy electronics - get it next week - can't wait to go out and scare myself daft.

meh.. it's ugly so it would be a no and my use, accept it or not, is commuting in traffic up to nutsack. The XSR was a great choice for that, tons of torque, light and nimble but i do feel like a dabble with the ohlins might be in my future and maybe braided hoses and better pads

the tyres are great in the dry but not great in the wet imo.. i do a lot of wet miles (you should see my lovely bike after 6 months )

is this a weekend toy? i love a 4 pot revver but it just doesnt suit my use

For me ... it's a weekday commuter and also a weekend toy on nicer days. My commute is A and B roads and most are well paved and at the times i go back and forth, nice and quiet. I'm not a nutter when it comes to bikes so most of the time, this will barely get tickled along whereas the CB500 needed its neck wringing a bit - time will tell which style I prefer.

I’m half tempted to get a scruffy crf450x for the shitty days, my XSR is showing the signs of winter use at 6 months old

my old cbrs were dry bikes and mint after years...
