Default Happy birthday to me!

Just been bought a nice birthday pressie, I get to drive an Aston Martin Vanquish, A Lambo Huracan, Ferrari 458 Italia, and a classic Ford GT40 plus a hoon in a race tuned MX5. Only problem is I have to wait till August.
Anyone else had one of these car experience days? how did it go?

I think they vary a lot

In many you will not be able to give the car that much of a work out (or only one of them, typically the MX5 in your list above)

I guess they have to cater to 21 year olds who have never driven anything quicker than a Punto and old gits like me who have driven much more powerful stuff (not that kids can't be sensible and old gits stupid but ykwim)

I'm sure you'll enjoy it anyway and some people don't want to go that fast - it is about the 'experience'

My biggest memory/surprise was that a Diablo was a bit sh*t

I have done a few of these now and mostly they are really good, if the instructor can see early on that you are not a complete twat they will give you more leeway.

Most disappointing one was a GT40 which I did last Autumn, it was run by "Car Chase heroes" on an old airfield near Abingdon, the car was dreadful (dream car of mine) down right dangerous, steering and brakes were absolutely shocking the rev limiter was set to about 3-4K !!! and the instructor was like a mute and then little course was ridiculous. The car actually broke down on my in lap and coasted into the pit area.

Never mind my tale of woe, most are run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts and are very good

happy Birthday...

Lambo rubbish (Balboni rear driver too!)
