Live in Herts? Safety Camera Survey

I sometimes think we need some civil disobedience
I think if every camera in the country was burned to the ground, the politicians might start to take notice
I think that's what the French would probably do

Most sane people would say they are a good idea I suppose.
In my days biking into London every day I witnessed a couple of accidents that were a direct result of speed cameras where someone brakes hard passing a camera and the person behind goes into the back of them.
One of the top police bods for London was asked about this on a radio interview and he admitted that it did happen but they did not record any statistics for it ...... how convenient.

That's the trouble; the stats are so skewed, they've rendered a possibly good idea totally meaningless.
Gad's point is a valid one; it's probably only a matter of time before the plebiscite does start rebelling against the authoritarians. Where it will start though, is uncertain.
"What are you rebelling against?"
"What've you got"
Modern James Dean in Rebel With Too Many Causes.
Dini, road tits do a lot of damage to HGVs and SUVs, since the loadings are much greater. Consequently, they also tend to damage neighbouring foundations, etc. They are another clueless idea. I understand Barnet council has eliminated many and also eliminated a lot of minor accidents, etc.
Unfortunately, the great unwashed tend to rely on inductive, rather than deductive reasoning and thus assumes they must be a good idea.

Or even concentrate at all?!!
They used to have something that did that.Originally Posted by dinibird,Jan 21 2010, 02:29 PM
When are they going to invent a camera which monitors whether people use their indicators / tailgate on motorways / middle lane hog / have poor lane discipline? Or even concentrate at all?!!
I believe they were called "traffic police"
Why not follow the route taken by Nottingham's Safety Camera Partnership?
I expect to see road accidents reduce to zero very soon

I started answering, but you can so clearly see how they're going to present the results! You don't have any option but to answer questions in such a way that makes you look like a baby killing speed freak crash happy ogre!
Either that, or a Saint who has been traumatised by the thought of points and is scared of getting caught.
PS I should say I was answering on behalf of my parents who live in North Herts
