Default Lowered the M3

Ride height has always bugged me on the e92, friends comp pack sits spot on, ideally id like a little lower so decided on the Eibach springs with modified top mounts and e36 bumpstops. Decided to take a few pictures of the hardware before and after for people in future as couldn't find many pictures showing before/after.

All work completed by my friend Joe over at Squirrel Performance. Cracking service at great prices, don't let his boyish appearance deceive, clever with spanners. Also booked in for him to service the car but i'll leave that for a separate thread. Drop him a message for any similar works, used to work in a BMW main dealers and has experience of many M Models, only lad i'd let loose on mine!

Tried to get pics in same location to show the difference properly.

Before

After

compared to comp pack springs sits little lower but not massive amounts, literally mm's in it.

EDC disconnected and strut dropped

difference in oem and Alpina Ians modified mounts (big thanks to him for supplying with bumpstops)

front dismantled

comparison of oem spring and eibach fronts, bumpstops too

rear coming apart

difference in rear springs

Big thanks to Joe, had it all apart and back together in little more than an hour! contact details on bottom of images but can also be found here, he's mobile but lives near liverpool for anyone local needing anything doing, will do a write up of service separately.

new wheels to go on, just waiting on tyres then will get it geo'd

It is very easy to kerb the 359 wheels Good advice is to fit slightly oversized rubber i.e. wider by 10mm or so. Winfreak will be along soon
