Default new Honda F1 livery

are they joking?

Looks truly awful - is this a last minute PR attempt to cover the fact they couldn't find any proper main sponsors?

If so, can't bode well for their financial resources to properly compete this year

Apparently not - Jenson says in this article that they are already "carbon neutral", but want to improve from that position to saving the planet

Not surprised at all. Honda are keen to be seen as green, and unfortunately many see their participation in motorsport as exactly the opposite. They have pushed Mosley hard on allowing them to produce F1 cars with energy replenishment systems (such as harnessing wasted energy from the brakes to minimise the amount of fuel the car has to carry etc).

Mosley has also mentioned bringing turbo cars back to F1 as they are "much greener" than normally aspirated engines. People like VW/Audi will be waiting for this type of thing togain popularity in F1 before they come on board too.

I personally don't give a shit about the green aspect as I'll be dead in less than 20 years anyway, but if it makes racing more exciting then fair enough.

Oh and the paint job is f**king shite.

I was going to post this earlier but forgot. I can't believe its a real livery.. shocking to look at close up and from a distance they'll just blend into the scenery.. maybe thats the idea?

Could be an odd season

Maybe they will be able to cut across the grass infield at some circuits, blending into the background, cutting the race in half and winning easily

I don't mind the paint job. I'd have preferred the Japanese white and red colour scheme though.

Honda seem trying to be green both in their product line and advertising, so no suprise really.

Can you imagine if JB actually does well for a change, and greenies are forced in to a position of supporting the green F1 team

Honda should stay with the white, red and black, it's in their history.

Wonder what colour the new Ferriaris will be??????????
