They have a low-sports-car-like excitement, whereas everything else is a colourless, wrinkly box rather reminiscent of a 1960s Dusseldorfer Transporter:

Looks far too modern !!

Last time I was there was back in the ICI days. Had a very nice lunch in Winnington Hall of the type that would be disapproved of nowadays ...

The luggage space is quite surprising behind the seats, but you do need to be able to squeeze it between the 'B pillar' (ish) and the seat in the first place which is a little restrictive

Also in fairness not planning on the Noble being my only car for long - It'll probably be my main car until winter but I want a backup if I'm working on the Noble and I'm worrying about it being back together to get to work the next day

Heatsheild from below the IC (separating the IC and the rear turbo) is well past its best so just ordered a fresh sheet of Nimbus G2 to use, not looking forward to taking it all apart to fit that mind
Update time from a few years ago just incase it's of interest

Ironically given above post, not long bought another S2000 as a daily - went from a 325ci e46 to an S3 to a Z4 to the S2000, gradually putting a little more money in each step to get back in the S2K... Somehow managed to squeeze a facelift for my budget, even if it did need a bit of work (and a lot of polishing!)

Noble still going well, have put on about 12k miles since buying the car now. Had a few breakdowns due to old coolant hoses splitting and after that I replaced every hose I could see with silicone coolant hose and it's been fine since (touch wood)

Fitted a complete new floor, new intercooler and had a new exhaust fabricated also. It's currently at Jetstream (Noble specialist) having an extended sump fitted along with a few other maintenance bits of work. Once I get the bill for that I'll make a call if to have the valve springs and turbo actuators upgraded - those bits will allow (with a remap) to push over 400bhp. Power upgrades after that would be new turbos, injectors and fuel pump so that lot can wait for another year

Obligatory clam off shot, pre-new exhaust but showing off the new intercooler

And how the car sits currently (spotted on a run out to York)

Certainly is worth it and it's not been too bad on the wallet to be fair - much easier to stomach spending money when the cars appreciating by more than upkeep/modifications

That Noble looks excellent. A cheeky reg would finish that car off but i expect the market is limited a bit with NOB type regs.

Fab looking motor. Fully approve.
