Nottingham Transport show
 

its been and gone, early June and one day avoided the horrendous weather we've 'enjoyed' of late..

the show includes a new car roadshow area, an enthusiasts area and then some trucks, busses (wtf?) and a fair so a good petrolhead fam day out in the beautiful grounds of Wollaton Hall, near enough to the city centre

the new cars are mostly nothing to get excited about for me, they had Honda there this year and some other stuff, while i ought to replace our fsmily car i probably wont as i have zero attention span for such shat. Central Lotus were there and an Alpine, which was a nice size but a bit underwhelming looks wise..

the enthusiast cars are much more interesting..

Did the have the usual Nottingham skills on show like car jacking, fastest torching award and fastest to steal an S2000 front bumper? etc.

hah, i havent had a car broken into in nottingham in about 20 years, park an E92 M3 on the drive next to a 380bhp S2000..

ranking by crime per population in a (likely pointless) effort to educate Rich that the Mail publish lies puts east mids mid table and at about 56% of the crime rate of London... hardly a hot bed by comparison then?

About 15% higher than the north east which is the 3rd 'safest' overall and the 'safest' of the urban areas (the two rural areas of south west and wales appear to have statistically lower crime across the board compared to the more population dense areas).. last night i left my car on charge, unlocked on my drive and noone jacked it, my missus drives around in a 400bhp V8, is tiny and has never been carcjacked once :D, nor has she fought them off with a Desert Eagle point five oh... :D
