Which is what i love about bikes / small cars. ^^^ is nice but a b it odd looking and a sodding expensive way to go about it. You could have two nice bikes, a Lotus and something sensible for what they cost.

£47k wont get you much new from Lotus

the main issue is a lacking character FI four banger

silly to compare it to big supercars, its a lotus/cayman/boxster rival and beats the last two hands down for me...

true. i've bought 3 new bikes and never a new car.. they almost all suffer horific depreciation

the entry level Exige S, albeit on a different level of performance, is c£60k now but there are plenty of decent buys i think.. when the time comes

It's a fair bit wider than an S2000, 1,980mm vs 1,750mm (including mirrors).

That's 9" narrower still, even better than the A110 vs 458 difference mentioned in the article. James is right, as usual...

You should see the difference that makes on those lovely back roads in the Périgord. The 911 is a lame duck there compared to the S2000. <s>
