That's 9" narrower still, even better than the A110 vs 458 difference mentioned in the article. James is right, as usual...
Sorry, Simon, but that quoted size from the S2000 brochure is incorrect and does not include the mirrors. I hit my head on this recently whilst battling with the planning people over my new garage's dimensions.
The width including mirrors, checked again yesterday on my facelift 2009 model, is 1865mm. So 4½" less than the Alpine A110. The quoted s2000 length is more accurate, mine measured as 4130, including the number-plate surround, against 4135 in the brochure.
However, thanks for the reminder, I must 'physically' check the A110's dimensions before ordering - rather than relying upon the manufacturer's elastic tape measured claims.

You're quite right, the error was mine , not paying enough attention to the diagram I looked at online.

have you owned a citroen lately? i have. it was the worst built car i have owned since a 70s pos i had as a studint. so yes, it put me off PSA stuff.

this, supercharged to retain some drama or ideally a little v6, would be a contender to that Lotus.. i cannot bare an aurally absent sports car, its a big part of it for me. both s2000s have aftermarket exhausts as does my M3 so i admit stock doesnt often fit but i doubt you'll get a 2l turbo sounding great

so currently i'll keep babbling about exige S until i get round to buying one and it breaking on me.. everyone must have a lotus once

The last one I owned was a ds 23. Brilliant car let down by a so and so engine. Citroën never had enough dev. funds.
When it comes to noise my wife's mt 03 is a 2 pot in fact sounds a lot like my son's ctr but quieter oc. Mine her in Spain is the Mt09 which makes no noise at all. People think hers is the more powerful one...
My CT in Belgium with the original exhaust is silent too.

i followed an M3 comp today, sounded crap.

you just dont get nice sounding turbos at small capacity in my experience and the more power the worse they are generally.

as for bikes, i commute and ime a loud pipe is a must.. my old 250 single managed to make a decent noise with an FMF

My commuting days are over. In fact I didn't commute anymore since the early 80ties.

now wildly off your topic but i do 10 miles each way all year round.. the traffic on our congested little island is bad

the Alpine aint small enough

fwiw i love the approach, read an interview with the Alpine CEO in Evo about how brutal they were in weight saving. puts the Cayman to shame imho.

The siera Nevada is wonderful this time of year before the tourists arrive. Empty roads. One doesn't care about the noise the bike makes or not.

Porsche could have, but their process allows them to sell additional "special editions" A "GTGTGTSSGTLight" sounds about right.
