This looks like so much fun! building and driving. I know you guys probably have tons of issues and curse words while trying to create all of this but to me its just awesome. Ive always worked from blue prints so creativity was frowned upon.

I cant wait to hear this thing in motion!

Curse words? I think we've invented some new ones over the past few weeks....

Okay, got on with positioning the rest of the exhaust system today, made the last merge collector up, mocked the old rear cage up and sat the Mahooosive silencer down the side, sat the supercharger in after chopping some excess lugs off it (weight saving and all that shiz), then realised there was no way in f@#k was the big assed 165 amp alternator going to go near the stock location as we originally thought....

So, looks like it's sitting at the side of the supercharger snout driving off a small belt and pulley bolted to the supercharger pulley.....I don't like it, but there's plenty of wraparound on that 5" pulley so it may be okay.

And after having the old cage on and taking some measurements, a couple of quick outline sketches to see how the new rear end/bonnet will end up:

Old bonnet/scoop/air feed:

Roughly where the new one will end up:

Plus extra's....

I just found this build!

What a great project and some top practical engineering going into it

Got bored so another 30 seconds later....doesn't look too bad:

Real one will be longer chord but it'll do for a concept sketch.

And hopefully in the middle of the car rather than off to one side...

The worst bit about that big wing?

Technically it won't make much downforce, mainly just counter the massive amount of lift and drag from the body

I was running CFD all last week and the basic conclusion was, if we ever get over 140mph, it will take off like a 747.
