Saw a car getting broken into

Sat at work today, our office is in a bit of duff area.

On the phone, gazing out the window at a black ford focus, as I gazed on a nipper with a hood up walked up to the car and second later the window was out, his head was in , picked something up and he sprints off.

2 lads in the office went after him, but 2 security doors later and a maze of council flats and he was gone.

Turns out, he stole some change - literally a few

14 or 15...nothing AT ALL will happen to him even if he's caught...mags are living in another world these days...they should be forced to live IN the cities they serve!

 It's a real sickener. And it doesn't take a proper glass breaker either. The end of a screwdriver does the trick. You don't need to be of a certain age to buy one either.

I still think we should employ ex army as vigilantes. Just let them roam the streets and beat **** out of chavs.

Surely everyone's a winner?!

IIRC, if you have your windows tinted with a plastic film it stops the glass from breaking?

I wonder if it would be possible to just get a clear film that does the same thing? I'm not a huge fan of tinted windows but the security benefits could be good if I'm right..

Using a spark plug is the accepted South African method.

Since it won't involve taking tax off motorist, Rozzers will only be feigning interest anyway.

Years ago, disabled guy slam-locked his keys in his Mk11 Escort: all of us Ford owners tried out keys (we all knew Fords were shit) with no success.

Guy sidles up through crowd; slim jim down window rubber, door opens, guy melts away. A true pro.

True; it just reduces the mess slightly.
