Nice buy. I'm looking at selling my S2000 very soon for a Fiesta ST, need something cheaper to run and more practical and it seems to fit the bill. What's it like on fuel & to live with day to day?

So far, it's a LOT of fun. Do test drive one and see how you get on with it.
Thrash = 25mpg
Mild hoon = 30mpg
Motorway on a light throttle at NSL .... 45mpg
Massive grin each time i drive it and no complaints

Just put the S in the garage for a year or so.. a fiesta is not in the same league !!

I think some of you forget i've had the S2000 for almost 10 years, For me at least, it hass been a lot of fun but it has run its course. It no longer fits with the type of driving i do or what i really need from a car. The net result of having a bike for summer fun and needing a practicalish but FUN car for rotten weather / winter means the Honda just doesn't get used. I don't need a car that doesn't get used and nor do i want the car i used to use loitering around the driveway slowly seizing up whilst costing me insurance / tax / servicing.
The only difference for me between the Fiesta and the Honda is the lack of a folding roof, they are both equally fun to drive in their own right it's just that one is newer and a better car.

Sensible synopsis @unclefester
A bit later on through life I tried a conversion to bikes. Too set in my ways, old dog etc Broken leg didn't help
The other thing was a dodgy hip ... even to the extent it prevents me getting in and out of Norfolk's finest i.e. Lotuses that are fun and affordable.
So my S sits in the dry garage SORN'd and quote/unquote costing me insurance slowly seizing up ...
I *will* get round to fitting that cabin filter I bought when my 3rd S first came.
