I'll be instructing this weekend as well. So many moons ago I bought an S2000 with the hopes of one day putting it onto a race track and doing a real HPDE. My first event ever was at Carolina Motorsports Park with the Carolina Regional Mustang Club. Tom and Norm are warm, inviting, personable, and NASA affiliated. All the instructors over the years have been wonderful. The price for the whole weekend is affordable as well. You don't need a rollbar to run at CMP, and is a great track if it's your first time getting out there. Come whoop up on some American V8s with us! :vtec:

I'll be at VIR for the SE / Mid-A crossover the weekend prior but might actually be able to make this year, especially now that I'm not going to Championships at COTA.

I’ve got a garage full of scrub Hoosiers...or old ass street tires that would be a blast to slide around on...

Thanks Brett!

As Brett said, this is a fantastic organization running a fantastic event!

This event is designed to break even, and any excess is distributed to CRMC charities.

To learn more about CRMC, the charities we support, and other events, please visit NEWS | Carolina Regional Mustang Club

And Brett is right, it's really fun to beat up on V8 Mustangs

This is the first year in many years that we won't be hosting our Halloween Boo Bash, so I have my October back. I might actually get to do this event this year.

Had a great time. David was kind enough to trade me seat time for some brake work and an alignment, so we took the civic hatch (B18B swap w/ ITR trans, 2200lb w/ driver) out. Had brake failure due to a compromised brake line (rubbed on wheel?), locked 3 of the 4 wheels down (no abs) and I went off in turn 14. Had brakes coming into paddock, but quickly learned of our situation. Drove into Lugoff to get a replacement line, swapped it in, only to realize we had delaminated our two front tires in places. We called around and couldn't find replacements, so we were done with that car. David got to drive my student and his student's cars though, and I had fun riding around in a 600hp Shelby for the remainder of the weekend. Can't wait for next year...maybe I can get the wife and kiddo out there.
