I'll make sure to hit you up and come check out your car once I get the chance!
I'll be moving the probably from the 17th to the 23rd. It's a long drive from Oklahoma..

Do you guys have any recommendations for places to live with a garage? I'd prefer a duplex if possible but will start out with an apartment if needed.
I'd like to have a garage to keep the S in. My budget for rent is at 1k at max.

I know absolutely nothing about the apartment scene, but a quick search showed several options for town homes and apartments with garages.

Some of these complexes looked more like luxury vacation resorts. Mooresville has changed a lot since I was starting off on my own in the early 90s. I wish some of these places had been available back then.

Mooresville is sort of a mix of very expensive and upity areas, so very nice and high rent, due to lake Norman. The other face of the town reminds me of south central PA, camo hats and trucks, if you know what I mean. For the most part from what I have seen, the majority is the nice and usually expensive part. It's a nice town, but 1k is fast approaching the point of possibly not getting what you are looking for. I've never actually looked to live there as I don't want to be that far from CLT, but I have friends up there and of course we look from time to time for whatever reason. This will obviously depend on your personal preference on what type of places you'd want to live, as in age, condition and space, etc. I have been in Charlotte for 3 years and housing is getting expensive relatively quickly, rent especially it seems.

There are some nice apartment complexes off Williamson rd by Lowes Foods I know. No idea on pricing though. Also I know of some by Sams Club behind Kickback Jax restaurant. Housing is fairly expensive the closer you are to the lake though.

Thank you for the feedback! I have actually been finding some decent duplex's with garage's right around my price range. Honestly with me traveling alot I don't need anything too nice. Mostly just want a place to keep the S while I'm traveling so it's not sitting out without me being able to see it everyday.
I guess I may have just realized this, but is Moddiction based out of Mooresville!?

Ok nice! Yeah I never looked into a duplex or apartment so not really familiar with pricing on those.

Yeah I am located in Mooresville. Moved down here 2 years ago now from the northeast.

Nice! Do you ever have any meets or cookouts? I'd certainly love to get to meet everyone and learn the town.

Charlotte S2000 Club and North Carolina S2000 Group on Facebook are both relatively active pages. Things seem to have really moved away from S2Ki locally in the last year and towards those. Charlotte has a decently active S2000 community.
