Default Babys Getting New Shoes

After running my Hankooks thru 2 cycles, I have decided to get something different.
Not that the Hankooks are inferior in any way. They did a great job but I wanted to sample a different brand.

I have ordered Khumo MXs in sizes 225/45 and 255/40 17s.

I wanted to get them in time to break them in before the dragon.

A performance report to follow.

Stay tuned boys and girls.

Ugly side wall, good tire I have been very happy with the REO50As so I am going to buy another set for the rear. By the time those wear out the front will need replacing also and I may switch up then.

I've got nothing but good things to say about the MX's on my car. Great all around performance for a great price.

I just put a set of these on about 300 miles ago. Not enough break in time yet but they did pretty good on our drive a few weeks ago.

Lee, how many miles did you get on the Hankooks?

I had MXs prior to putting RE050As on, and got 10k miles on the dot. So far I've been impressed with the RE050As though - they've handled better than the MXs so far, and I liked the MXs.

I also had Khumo MXs at one time on my RSX with aftermarket rims I bought, but I had all sort of problems with bad vibrations in the steering wheel. I balanced the rims and tires multiple times, replace one tire that the seemed streched inside. I ended up selling that set and going back to stock. That ordeal scares me away from Khumo now, but maybe I got a bad lot of tires.

Hope your tires work out for you, not trying to scare you.

I plan on ordering some Cooper Zeon 2xs again for my stock 17' honda rims. I feel they handle better in dry or wet conditions than the stock bridgestone RE o50's. At $110 a tire I think there hard to beat.

Lot of my old OKI crowd run Khumo MXs and really like them. I'm sure you'll let us know, Lee. Got about 15k left on my current RE050s.
