Car choices

So I've got 2 decisions on what direction to do with my next car purchase.

The first is buying a cheap econobox car of sorts, which would be either Civic, Accord, Camry, Sentra etc etc.

The 2nd choice is buying a (once again) cheap used performance car and making it into a stud. I've always had a tender place in my heart for another Mr-2 Turbo and I can find one for less than 4-5k. I was looking at the MR-2 Turbo, a 240 SX and eventually swapping out for the SR20Det engine.

I figure if you bought an econobox that would give me a daily driver for when I got a newer performance car. Or I can buy a cheap performance car and work it up nicely and eventually buy a nice luxury ride. :ponder:

I guess it really depends on your needs. I'd go with a new Civic Si and get a little of both worlds. Stay away from Camry's. As far as I'm concerned they are the new Buick LeSabre driven by people over 80.

Word. Sentra's also look like shit now. Big ole dumpy mofo. The Accord is sexy and so is the Civic SI.

I'd say go for the econobox so you don't buy a car that becomes a money pit.

I don't know if or how your 'other' situation has been resolved....but if that is still hanging over you, then you might want to resist temptation for another performance car...at least until all is clear.

SO...an econobox makes some sense...and would allow you to put away some funds for that time in the future...when it might more sense to have your wheels-of-desire.

Gook luck with the decision, and with your the other stuff :pat: .

Thanks for all the input so far! Whatever car I buy I am going to buy it in cash so looking at a newer car right now isn't really an option for me for now.

Econobox that you modify into a sleeper.
